Vacaville, CA - After critical acclaim for his European debut release ("Evolution Of Jazzraptor" 2004), Jack Foster III follows up with a masterwork entitled "Raptorgnosis". This is not only a tour de force in terms of music composition, but stylistic execution and production value as well. We have yet to categorize Jack's unusual talent that moves flawlessly between multiple musical idioms. You'll find his vocal style immediately identifiable with tons of chops. He is a master of "different voices" and demonstrates a powerful combination of pop sensibility combined with modern and adventurous song forms.
Also featured on "Raptorgnosis" are veteran producers Trent Gardner (Magellan, Explorer's Club) and Robert Berry (3, GTR, ELP) adding their cutting edge studio techniques to Jack's mature and sophisticated compositions. Collectively, Gardner and Berry have worked with members or every major icon in the progressive music genre from Dream Theater to Yes to Jethro Tull. The production style and genre has been updated to make "Raptorgnosis" accessible to a much broader audience instead of simply narrow casting to an "art rock" niche. Other guests include Tower Of Power alumni Mic Gillette and Skip Mesquite.
Jack Foster III played in a high school band and was a relative big shot in a small pond. He continued playing in bands through college. He was a music major in academia, focusing on theory and composition, graduating with departmental honors. After pursuing music briefly, he played in several bar bands, but ultimately tired of the bad hours and lack of money. Evenutally, Foster joined the family real estate business, went back to school, earned a Masters degree in Business Administration, and made some money. He kept playing music as a hobby, continued performing in garage bands, and writing songs.
A few years ago, a dear friend died of brain cancer. He was about the same age as Jack, and his death affected him deeply. Jack had always wanted to make a serious effort to put an original album together, but had never followed through on several false starts. That changed when he met Trent Gardner. After talking to Trent about the dream for his own original material, Trent said he could help make the dream become a reality so the two got to work. Hence the formation of Muse-Wrapped Records, Hipsolve Media (a multi-media service provider), and the creation of the CD "Raptorgnosis" by Jack Foster III, a versatile and artistic compilation of songs.
