Easy Offices highlights diversity of demand for flexible workspace

London, and major cities such as Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds and Edinburgh are revealed as the most popular locations for those businesses seeking flexible office space, by easyoffices.com, one of the UK’s leading independent office space location finders.

Launched eight years ago by entrepreneur Jon Abrahams, Easy Offices currently acts on behalf of more than 1100 companies in 60 countries and is headquartered in Walton on Thames, Surrey. "During the past 12 months we’ve seen a 50% increase in enquiries for serviced office space," comments Abrahams. "The West End of London is still the most desirable location, but we’ve started to see a healthy interest in East London, no doubt being fuelled by the 2012 Olympics.

"In addition to demand for space in the major cities, we’ve also witnessed requirements for everywhere from Bournemouth to Burton-on-Trent, reflecting the fact that flexible workspace has now become a mainstream option for most occupiers. In the south, towns such as Guildford, Croydon and Brighton are proving increasingly popular locations, with Woking, Basingstoke and Crawley not too far behind."

The M25 fringes have also witnessed heightened enquiry levels, with strong demand for areas such Watford, Weybridge, Windsor and Staines. While in the North West, demand for workspace in towns such as Preston, Altrincham, Stockport and Chester is fast catching the established towns of Liverpool and Warrington. In addition, as SMEs look to move outside of Central Manchester, Easy Offices has seen a growth in demand for flexible managed workspace in Bury, Blackburn and Bolton.

Kent is also proving to be a hot spot for flexible managed workspace with Bromley, Canterbury, Dartford, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells proving highly popular locations. "In the past year we’ve had enquiries for office space in more than 860 UK and overseas locations, including such diverse locations as Hitchin, Henley-on-Thames, Worthing, Ipswich and Rayleigh.

"Our analysis proves that occupiers are not only looking for high quality offices space, the latest IT and telecoms technology and substantially reduced occupancy costs, but they are also looking to relocate to areas away from the established markets.
