The National Wildflower Centre is located in the Knowsley area of the city at Court Hey Park, a Victorian venue that is just a few miles from the centre of the city. There are displays of wildflowers from 1st March to 31st August 2011 and visitors can stroll around the displays and enjoy some refreshments in the cafe.

Visitors to the centre can also purchase unusual gifts in the shop or purchase seeds or plants. There are workshops and other events held during the spring and summer. The centre is easily reached from most parts of Liverpool and there are good public transport links, although the venue is also well placed for those travelling by car, with good parking facilities.

Those attending the wildflower displays that are looking for a Liverpool hotel will be spoiled for choice as the city has a large number to choose from. The recent renovation of the city centre means that there are several modern hotels that have a luxurious feel without the price tag to match.

Lek Boonlert, the Head of Marketing at DirectRooms.com said "Liverpool is enjoying renewed success as a tourist destination and hundreds of thousands of visitors flock to the city each year for many different events, so booking hotel accommodation in advance is advisable if you want to avoid disappointment."
