British Airways has launched its new Caribbean campaign offering customers better value holiday packages. The airline, which flies to more Caribbean islands than any other carrier from the UK, is running the campaign this March together with local tourist board partners, including Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts, Dominican Republic, Cancun plus Bermuda.
Many hotels across the 15 different Caribbean destinations plus Bermuda are included in the promotion with up to 25% off from good value lead in properties through to five star resorts. The offers are based on various departures from April 1 through to December 2, 2011 and must be booked by March 28, 2011.
British Airways’ launches its new twice weekly flights to San Juan on March 28. With increased frequency of flights to Barbados, St Kitts, Grenada and Bermuda during the previous summer and further increases to flights to Antigua, Barbados, St Lucia and Cancun with the new summer schedule, being introduced March 27, British Airways officially now offers more seats to the Caribbean from the UK than any other carrier. Capacity on flights compared to the previous year is up by 30 per cent.
Having opened up its Gatwick gateway with a growing route network has firmly established the airline as the airport's leading long haul carrier. The airport experience is further enhanced as British Airways' customers will benefit from the recent £900 million investment by Gatwick Airport to upgrade and modernise the North and South Terminals.
Customers have the choice of value package holidays in Barbados by staying at the three-star Butterfly Beach, the five-star The Crane Resort and Residences or the recently refurbished 4.5-star Tamarind. Alternatively, families can choose to head to Antigua and stay at the three-star Jolly Beach Resort and Spa or the four-star St James Club.
Holidays in Cancun suit families as well couples seeking a romantic getaway. Customers looking for the perfect mix between golfing and spa holidays can holiday in Bermuda and stay at the five-star Cambridge Beaches or the 4.5-star Elbow Beach.
The marketing campaign is designed to stimulate direct bookings via ba.com and promote BA’s package holiday offers, which are among the best value deals in the market. The campaign will highlight holiday prices for 15 Caribbean destinations, featuring seven-night breaks in 3, 4 and 5-star hotels on an AO (accommodation only) or AI (all inclusive) basis.
The advertising kicked off on March 9 with a banner ad on ba.com’s homepage and on Caribbean deals - the campaign’s dedicated splashpage.
With a total of 15 destinations to choose from, British Airways is showing its commitment to the Caribbean and making it easier for customers to book their dream Caribbean holidays.
