– British Ski Club’s special programmes at Zermatt during 2 and 23 April 2011

One such is Edward Killwick, who will be leading groups from 2 to 23 April 2011. Zermatt is one of Edward’s favourite resorts although he enjoys skiing almost anywhere there’s a mountain, snow and good facilities. He’s enthusiastic about all types of skiing from carving on piste, off-piste, slalom, downhill racing and bumps to touring, and has worked in the Alps for a good while now with several companies.

Zermatt in the winter season is a winter sports heaven, attracting skiers at all levels in their thousands to its slopes. Surrounded by magnificent peaks, the village is famous for its spectacular views of the Matterhorn’s jagged spire, soaring high above the streets and hotels.

Zermatt has a huge number of hotels for such a small village, but they do get crowded in the snowy season. Online market leader says the best method of enduring a room with view of the mountains is by booking your rooms in Zermatt hotels at the same time as your flight.

Marketing head at Lek Boonlert says. "An added bonus of booking early is to catch cheaper room rates as well as being able to select your hotel by checking the facilities online well in advance of your arrival."
