Information Age’s Effective IT Awards 2005 are designed to highlight the effective use of technology across a broad range of industries and across all company sizes. The emphasis is on rewarding projects that have not only helped save money, but that have delivered tangible benefits to the business in terms of improved business processes or enhanced capabilities.

The Effective IT 2005 Awards will be presented in London on June 23rd 2005, at the Effective IT 2005 Summer Spectacular. Over 600 guests will attend this annual summer charity event, which identifies and recognises excellence in UK IT. All proceeds from table sales will go to the Effective IT 2005 Charity Fund. Last year the fund raised £34,000 for the Wooden Spoon, the charity for disadvantaged young people.

Meeting the challenge of "effectiveness" is as much about management strategies, tactics and application as it is as about using powerful technologies. The Effective IT 2005 Awards is searching for those companies and executives who are delivering "effectiveness". You can enter your project by visiting http://www.effectiveitawards.com/entryform.cfm or nominate a project in which your company has been involved as a main Technology Partner or as a nominating company for the end user whose project you feel is worthy of an award.

Entries are being accepted until 5pm on April 6th 2005. Gain recognition for your team’s efforts and achievements by entering the Effective IT Awards 2005 at http://www.effectiveitawards.com/entryform.cfm

Information Age prides itself on independence. All entries for the Effective IT Awards 2005 will be subjected to a rigorous selection process, led by Information Age's highly respected team of journalists and supported by an independent panel of experts – mainly CIOs from the UK’s biggest organisations.

The awards form part of Information Age's Effective IT 2005 initiative designed to help corporate IT buyers and managers get the very best value from their investments. The Effective IT Report 2005, released in February, identifies the 30 most powerful IT strategies and technologies currently in use, and examines how companies can usefully adopt these strategies. The Effective IT Summit 2005 (www.effectiveIT2005.com), held in London in February, hosted nearly 500 IT executives for two days in a lively, interactive environment.
