Rich Toback has become Zoomin Groomin Mobile Pet Spa’s newest franchisee and will cater to pets and their owners living in the Bristol county area.

Since Zoomin Groomin is a full service grooming salon on wheels, pets can look out the window of the state-of-the-art van and have the peace of mind of seeing their home while they are pampered with a luxurious hydrosurge therapeutic bath, fluff dry, hair trim and styling. Ear, teeth and nail maintenance are the finishing touches. And, there’s plenty of coddling, playtime and special treats. Toback is a seasoned entrepreneur who previously owned two businesses, a computer information systems company and an Americana Shop located in Southern Florida. The 56 year-old has held senior executive positions in corporate retail for more than 30 years and has traveled to Hong Kong, Vietnam, India, Singapore, Rome, England and other parts of the world extensively.

Toback spent nine years as the Vice President of Menswear for Jordan Marsh, J Byrons and Caldor. He went on to become Executive Vice President of Menswear for Kmart Corporation where he oversaw 1600 stores, a staff of 90, as well as the sales, marketing and development teams. During his tenure, he developed Kmart’s signature Route 66 brand. For the past nine years, Toback has been the Director of Product Development and Director of Operations for Casual Male Big & Tall.

He is a native of Brooklyn, NY and in 1969, at age 19, graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

With the desire to once again be his own boss, Toback worked with a business broker to research a variety of franchising options and fell in love with Zoomin Groomin Mobile Pet Spa.

"Zoomin Groomin is all about the customer and the service. I work with the coolest clients in the world - pets - and their people who are totally tuned in to them and who are looking for someone who cares for their animals as much as they do," explained Toback.

In addition to caring for pets, Toback (a Mansfield resident) enjoys the luxury of being able to give back to the community through his service as a volunteer for the Mansfield Animal Shelter.
