SYBASE Sets Sights on New Markets and Verticals

Dubai, September 13, 2005: Sybase Products Middle East, the leading provider of enterprise infrastructure, information management and mobile software, today announced their plans to aggressively develop and expand their channel network in the Middle East at Gitex 2005. They also announced their plan to recruit channel partners who would provide Sybase with a wider reach in newer markets and verticals in the region.

"We are looking to further enhance and develop our various channels. Speaking on their channel development plan, Hisham further explains, "For solutions like Sybase Pylon, which can be used by any organization irrespective of the vertical market it is in, we will recruit VARs that cover as many verticals as possible. We plan to educate and train our partners on the benefits of Sybase’s products. We are offering sales and technical support to partners to help them perform better. We will also create great incentives for our Channel Partners to aggressively promote our products. We look to build long-term strategic relationships with all our partners and hence we are very selective of the companies we partner with."
Sybase will begin its channel development and expansion drive at Gitex 2005. Sybase will also be hosting an executive dinner on the second day of Gitex to thank their loyal customers and partners for their continuous support and in honour of Sybase USA’s key senior directors coming down specifically for Gitex. Sybase Products Middle East will be exhibiting at Sheikh Rashid Hall, Stand: H9-1.
