[ClickPress, Thu Jun 21 2007] GlobalLogic, the leader in global product development services, announced today the appointment of twenty-five year industry veteran Pete Rogers to head its European operations.
Rogers will work out of the newly-established offices in Richmond on Thames, UK. In his capacity as Vice President of European Operations, Rogers will focus on rapidly building and expanding GlobalLogic’s sales and support organization there to support the company’s growing client base.
According to the technology and market research company Forrester Research, global product development has grown from $300 million in 2001 to over $3 billion in 2005. Forrester believes the growth rate of this segment will outpace traditional IT services globalization. GlobalLogic has developed a unique joint-venture model of partnering with technology companies to create a dedicated global delivery center. By leveraging GlobalLogic’s global facilities and world-class engineers, companies can increase quality while dramatically reducing timelines and operating costs, often by more than 60 per cent.
Rogers joins GlobalLogic from business management software company, ITM Software Corporation, where he served as General Manager and was responsible for establishing the company’s European operations. In this capacity, he and his team helped major new retail and investment banking clients derive real business benefit from effective use of technology.
Prior to ITM, Rogers held various leadership roles in the IT sector, including Vice President of Sales at mobile technology company mBlox and General Manager (Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa) for software and services firm Seer Technologies
“Pete has proven expertise in establishing and expanding business operations in a multinational corporation,” said Peter Harrison, Chief Executive Officer of GlobalLogic. “He comes with an enormous knowledge base in the fields of sales and staff management. We are confident that Pete’s impressive mix of management and sales skills will play a major role in expanding our offerings to technology clients throughout Europe.”
Rogers commented, “Today, GlobalLogic is the leader in delivering global product development services to technology companies. The company is both ambitious and well positioned to expand its reach across all borders. I look forward to establishing the European operations for GlobalLogic and contributing consistent profit and growth from this important geography.”
GlobalLogic has experienced rapid growth internationally as both emerging and established technology companies have realized the time-to-market, cost and quality benefits gained from partnering with global product development firms specializing in software design, development and support. Rogers’ appointment will increase the company’s ability to service an expanding group of European technology clients in the wireless, financial, consumer internet and other sectors.
