NEW DELHI, India - September 21, 2005 - Cincom Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. (Cincom India) announces a major contract with Chattisgarh State Electricity Board (CSEB) to implement Cincom’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Solution, saving CSEB millions in revenue. Included within the agreement is a new contact center to provide customer service, billing inquiry, bill collection, and monitoring and tracking defaulters.

"CSEB is the first electricity board in India to take the IT initiative toward power sector reform by setting up a contact center," said Rajeev Ranjan, chairman, CSEB. "With Cincom’s CRM Solution, CSEB will significantly improve its bill collection process."

"By implementing Cincom’s CRM Solution, CSEB can improve its internal organization and reduce costs, ultimately increasing productivity," said Ashish Paul, president, Cincom India. "Cincom’s CRM solution will replace CSEB’s traditional, inefficient manual customer service processes with highly efficient, automated processes. Through customized CRM tools including a single window for services on a 24/7 basis, agents will be able to handle any kind of consumer query."

Consumers will be able to contact CSEB via a single toll-free number. All complaints lodged by the consumer or applicant will be entered into the system and tracked throughout the various stages of investigation, thus increasing the accountability and speed of rectifying complaints. This will further improve consumers’ confidence and trust in their dealings with CSEB.

Another major operational benefit will be online report generation, produced in a matter of minutes. This feature will enable CSEB to improve its services and productivity without adding new staff.

Cincom is providing CSEB with complete end-to-end customer care and billing solutions, which includes hardware, software and human resources with CSEB providing a data center, infrastructure and telecommunications.
