Between 10th and 12th November 2011, the International Conference on Next Generation Networks and Services will bring speakers from universities and companies that use NGNs to discuss the future of the industry.
A next generation network refers to one network that carries a whole range of different data types. NGNs are often implemented by the telecommunications industry whereby voice data, images and pictures are transported on just one network. Similar to how the Internet functions, the information is sent in packets as it becomes encapsulated and the conference will look at new ways the networks are functioning.
One of the keynote addresses will come from Professor Ismail Khalil from the Johanes Kepler University in Linz. He’ll be analyzing how NGNs can be used to create sensor-based environments where a computer device can be implanted into normal physical surroundings and create automatic responses without humans having to interact.
The term is called Situation Awareness and at the event delegates will be reviewing the opportunities for this and how it can be developed to be sensitive and adaptable to a user's needs, emotions and habits.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "Which five star Hammamet hotel the conference will be held in has yet to be decided but competition for rooms is due to be high with the number of people that are attending."
