Vikuiti Super Close Projection from 3M on Show at DSEi

3M Visual Systems, a division of diversified technology company 3M, will exhibit its innovative range of wall-mounted and mobile, interactive digital projection systems for the defence industry at DSEi 2007 (Stand 1629). Featuring revolutionary Vikuiti Super Close Projection technology, the products are designed specifically with the needs of military users in mind, delivering reliable, high performance audio visual (AV) tools for the most challenging of environments.

Vikuiti Super Close Projection is a unique technology that allows projectors to sit close to a screen or display area, projecting large, brilliantly crisp images from incredibly short distances and extreme angles. The technology can be integrated into many different platforms and used in a wide range of products that provide superior display performance.

On the stand at DSEi, visitors will see demonstrations of 3M’s Digital WallDisplay and Digital Media System 700 and 800 Series incorporating Vikuiti Super Close Projection:

* 3M Digital WallDisplay 9000 Plus Series – combines state-of-the-art projection, digital annotation and mouse control in a wall-mounted or rapidly deployable, mobile design, to help capture and communicate vast and complicated information effectively. It features a video display for video conferencing, training or presentations, and picture-in-picture technology allows remote participants to view presentations while collaborating in real-time from almost anywhere in the world
* 3M Digital Media System 800 Series – wall-mounted projection devices designed to ‘hang’ above any projection screen or interactive white board, avoiding difficult ceiling-mounted installation and minimising light glare and shadows. An adjustable telescoping arm allows presenters to project images from a 50 inch to 85 inch diagonal
* 3M Digital Media System 700 series – helps ensure ‘super-close’ projection of multi-media presentations in space-challenged environments. The compact, all-in-one features of the 700 Series make it ideal for military applications ‘on the go’. Presenters can simply connect to their PC, or use a pre-loaded memory stick, and run their presentation via remote control while commanding the attention of their audience.

Additional products on display include:
* 3M Digital Easel – a PC compatible device providing efficient note-capturing and play-back functionality
* 3M Digital Whiteboard – a durable, compact and lightweight device offering easy connection to a PC via USB connection. Helps visualise difficult concepts such as graphs, diagrams and plans.
