DirectRooms.com – Youth golfers compete in Oceanico World Kids Golf Championship 2011

This will be the third year that the event has taken place. The Oceanico World Kids Golf Championship is for boys aged between 7 to 18 years old and girls aged between 8 to 18 years old.

The Amendoeira Golf Resort is composed of two golf courses, a clubhouse and accommodation. This will act as the headquarters for the event.

The first day will consist of registration, practise rounds and an official opening ceremony that will take place at the Amendoeira Golf Resort Clubhouse. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday will consist of tournaments, and Thursday will be free for other activities.

On the evening of the last day the prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each age category will be handed out and a closing ceremony dinner will round off the event.

There are a number of Vilamoura hotels available, many of which are family friendly. However, it is best to book in advance for accommodation if possible.

The entry fee ranges from €95 to €215. This includes four rounds of golf, one practise round before the tournament, tee prizes, buffet lunch and tickets to the opening and closing ceremonies. Extra tickets can be purchased in advance. The event begins at 9am on 25th July 2011.
