Procédés Chénel International’s LIGHT COLUMN® is both

The light columns are composed of two lightweight folded and bent materials – polypropylene and Drop Paper®. The columsn have no metal framework, which means that they provide perfect luminosity. To change their appearance, users simply need to replace the Drop Paper® skin. The semi-thin, bent plastic of the boxes provides shock-absorption, absorbing any accidental deformation and restoring the initial shape.

LIGHT COLUMNS® are self-maintaining or suspended, and are lenticular in shape for greater stability and visibility, with a range of cross-sections (from 22cm to 75cm). Their height can also be extended by superposing standard modules from 30cm to 2.31m in length. The finishing sheets, fitted with two longitudinal reinforcement strips, help hold them in position.

The luminescence and colour of the LIGHT COLUMN® can be altered by simply juxtaposing or superposing several fluorescent tubes of various lengths and colours. A further advantage is that LIGHT COLUMNS®, in the form of two thin cut-out sheets, are easy to install and transport, and can be stored flat.
In compliance with fire regulations, the boxes forming the framework of the LIGHT COLUMN® can be made of translucid M4 polypropylene or light M2 PETG (virtually non-flammable material). The finishing sheets are usually Drop Paper® M1 (non-flammable material).
