DirectRooms.com – Photography tour aims to capture the best of South Bintan

For two days the 2D1N South Bintan Photography Excursion with Singapore Trekkers is going to lead attendees to the best spots around Tanjung Pinang and Penyangat Island.

To tempt travel photographers scenes include picturesque fishing villages with the houses jutted out on stilts by the sea. The shores also offer some magnificent scenery and the diversity of cultures of the inhabitants also gives the towns an interesting photographic appeal.

Some of the tour highlights are likely to be the sunsets as the group overlooks Penyangat Island, the sunrise at Trikora, and the Chinese temples in Sengarang with its large number of Chinese settlers.

The first day on 20th August 2011 includes a look around Penyangat Island and finishes with a seafood dinner by the coast. Photographers then have a short overnight stay at a hotel Bintan Island as the following morning sees an early rise at 04:00 to catch the fisherman on Trikora beach as they prepare their nets. The final opportunity for photos culminates at Sengarang village before everyone catches the ferry back to Singapore.
