DirectRooms.com – Full moon brings out the wolves in Koh Pha Ngan on 14 August 2011

The all night party will run on 14th August and anywhere from 8,000 to 20,000 people are expected to flock to the Thai island for what is probably the world’s leading party by moon light.

A host of DJs will be playing on the night with sets of the usual house, dance and electro blaring out of the huge sound systems that will line the beach. It’s not just dance though as the beach bars mix it up with reggae, drum and bass, techno and virtually any request that keeps the party going.

The party officially starts at dusk when the moon starts to creep up into the sky although things won’t really start to get going until late in the evening. Along the beaches revellers can expect to see the bars putting on plenty of fire shows with daring trickery and those feeling brave enough can even have a go themselves.

Doing the limbo under a bar of fire however is only for those with the right nerve and balance, or have a go at the flaming skipping rope, just make sure to jump at the right time.
