Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. (CRB, Inc.) is now accepting applications for the 2007 Artist Humanitarian Award which will be presented at next year's Country Radio Seminar (CRS) opening ceremonies.

CRB, Inc. Executive Director Ed Salamon stated, "In an industry that awards so many for artistic and commercial achievements, the CRB takes a special pride in annually recognizing and encouraging the humanitarian contributions of artists and radio."

CRB presented the first Artist Humanitarian Award in 1990. Honorees have included Alabama, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Billy Ray Cyrus, Kenny Rogers, Reba McEntire, Clint Black, Collin Raye, Brooks & Dunn, Lonestar, Brad Paisley, Diamond Rio, and Neil McCoy. This year's recipient was Toby Keith.

To be considered for the Artist Humanitarian Award, the CRB requires a presentation detailing the nominee's humanitarian activities and accomplishments. This presentation is not limited in length, but should be concise and in chronological order. Honorees in the past have been chosen based on information contained in simple typed presentations, full visual presentations, and elaborate presentations that have supporting documentation and letters of recommendation from organizations that the artist has helped.

An artist or an artist representative may submit a presentation for consideration. Presentations should be sent to: Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc., 819 19th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203 to arrive on or before close of business Friday, September 1, 2007. A blue ribbon selection committee comprised of Industry Executives will review all entries. There should be six copies of all submissions, so that each member of the Committee can review one. All questions regarding submissions should be directed to the Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. at (615) 327-4487. (For the complete list of past honorees, visit www.crb.org, click on the "Awards" tab and then click on "Humanitarian").
