Funded by Thailand's Kasikorn Bank group, the new four-star Khaolak Cassaway Resort has been developed and built by the Kata Hotel Group, one of Thailand's premier hospitality providers. The development has been funded to the tune of 1.2 billion Thai baht, and joins the Phuket Orchid Resort, Kata Beach Resort, Karon Beach Resort and Kandaburi Samui Resort in offering luxury accommodation in the south of Thailand. The new resort will open on November 1st this year.

Spa facilities, beautiful beaches and superb service are the hallmark of the Kata Group, and the new Khaolak Cassaway Resort stands in stark contrast to the range of cheap Khao Lak hotels which can be found in the hills set back from the coast in the resort.

Scuba diving and snorkeling are among the most popular activities available to people staying in the new Khao Lak Cassaway Resort, and the hotel even rents out bicycles to guests and residents so that they can explore the nearby area at their own pace.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at says: "Khao Lak in the south of Thailand is one of those postcard-perfect destinations which people associate with pampering, relaxing and enjoying the golden beaches and emerald waters. As such this new development is a great move for the area, increasing the availability of top quality places to stay in the area."
