David Davis is the 5-2 second favourite with Coral (http://www.coral.co.uk) who make Liam Fox a 7-1 chance and Ken Clarke the 14-1 outsider.

"If money talks then David Cameron will be the next Tory Party leader", said Simon Clare, Coral Eurobet Spokesman.

The odds on the Conservative Party winning the next General Election will shorten from 2-1 to 6-4 according to Coral if David Cameron is successful. A victory for Ken Clarke would also have a similar impact on the Tories' election odds, while success for either Davis or Fox would see the odds stay the same or even lengthen.

"Success for either the popular Clarke or the youthful Cameron would have a positive effect on the Conservative's election odds, while a victory for either Davis or Fox would have nothing but a negative impact on their odds", explained Clare.

** Odds To Win Tory Leadership Contest:
1-2 David Cameron
5-2 David Davis
7-1 Liam Fox
14-1 Ken Clarke

** Betting on next General Election:
1-3 Labour Party
2-1 Conservative Party
50-1 Liberal Democrats
