Taking place at various locations around the city, the Liverpool Irish Festival will showcase some of great music and performance talent from across the Irish Sea. Music, film, drama, dance, spoken word events and more will all be on show from some of the leading performers around.

The various shows and events will be held at Liverpool’s FACT and Albert Dock venues as well as in many other live entertainment venues.

This year’s Liverpool Irish Festival takes place between October 14th and October 30th, and for the duration of the event Liverpool city centre hotels can expect to be in high demand. The event regularly attracts visitors from across the sea in Ireland itself as well as from all over the UK.

Liverpool boasts a proud Irish heritage as many of the city’s shipyard workers historically came from Irish stock. This festival builds on Liverpool’s hosting of the European Capital of Culture in 2008 which celebrated the city’s folk and music roots – which of course cannot be covered without mentioning the most famous band in the world, The Beatles.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head of hotel room website, commented, "Liverpool’s music scene is legendary and so are the city’s links with the Irish community. As such the Liverpool Irish Festival is set to be a booming event popular with music and arts fans of all ages."
