Fans of TED's online presence can look forward to an innovative event which will showcase some fascinating presentations and speeches and some truly enticing speakers. There will also be video broadcasts from speakers unable to attend, with special guests promised - TED speakers in the past have included the likes of Bill Gates, Gordon Brown and Philippe Starck.

TED videos are designed and published to encourage debate between viewers and to prompt wider thinking about a massive range of different subjects. Speeches and presentations at the TEDx Phnom Penh event will be limited to 18 minutes and all presentations will be subsequently published on the website.

Phnom Penh is a popular tourist destination in its own right and is generally busy throughout the year. As such, fans of who are planning on attending would be wise to pre-book Phnom Penh city centre hotels, says

The event will take place at Northbridge International School on 15th October and tickets can be bought online. There is a dual pricing system in effect, with tickets being $10 for foreigners or $5 for Cambodian nationals.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head of comments, " enjoys a hugely loyal following online and so the TEDx event should be very well attended too. With that in mind we recommend that anyone attending get online and book their places to stay well in advance of arriving to avoid having to traipse around the city looking for a value for money hotel with the right facilities and so on."
