MEP CALLS ON ‘PITIFULLY USELESS’ PARLIAMENT TO REJECT EU BUDGET

Mr Titford added: "Each and every year, this House has just shrugged its shoulders, sighed and looked the other way, which is a shameful indictment of this institution and demonstrates how pitifully useless it really is".

He went on to call for all members of the Parliament to "in good conscience" reject the 2006 budget on the grounds that they shouldn’t be debating new expenditure until they have "sorted out the mess that has been left behind in previous years".
