Electric Pocket’s Busker MP3 playing software for Palm OS handhelds has earned high marks from those who have tested it and published their findings on top Web sites devoted to providing consumers unbiased information on the latest mobile technology products.

Busker, hailed by PocketGoddess reviewer Jen Edwards as "the freshest (and arguably the coolest)" MP3 player for Palm OS on the market today, enables Palm OS 5.x users to play MP3 tunes stored on an SD card and features a bold, bright and easy-to-use interface that provides users with the fastest way available to access their tunes list and play favorite songs.

The newest version of Busker includes support for playlists in standard M3U or PLS formats. Busker’s playlists can be synchronized from the desktop or created and edited within Busker. The addition of playlist support gives users the ability to compile their own music selections.

"Playlist selection and creation has been designed to be as easy as possible, in line with the Busker philosophy," said Iain Barclay, Electric Pocket’s Chief Products Officer.

One of the most common praises for Busker is its fresh, fun and easy-to-use interface. Ms. Edwards, commenting on other MP3 players she has tried, says, "they didn't have that extra ‘zing’ that could bring a smile to my face every time I opened the app. Busker certainly solves that problem; the graphical style is fresh, fun, and incredibly appealing. The controls are large and easy to see/use…"

Another feature that reviewers appreciate is Busker’s ability to display Album Art that corresponds to the tune being played. Howard Carson, editor of KickStartNews, said, "Busker also makes good use of the high resolution color displays on newer PDAs by displaying JPEGs and Album Art for MP3 tracks. Busker will display any compatible image which has been downloaded and stored in the music folder you're using on the PDA's storage card. As far as we know as of this writing, Busker is the only Palm OS music player that can display Album Art images onscreen while playing a song file."

"Busker takes a different approach when it comes to organizing music and playlists as well as offers more graphical enhancements over other audio programs..." adds Jim McCarthy, PocketAnywhere editor. "Busker offers a new and different way to browse your tunes on your PalmOne or Treo device and has great potential to be a favorite among handheld music listeners."
