Carrefour International du Bois 2006 to focus on timber techniques

The 9th biennial Carrefour International du Bois (International Timber Trade Show) is to be held from 31 May to 2 June 2006 at the La Beaujoire exhibition park in Nantes, in western France. The latest addition to the 2006 programme is an area dedicated to Timber Techniques and Solutions.

Markets evolve and so do products. The wood construction sector is growing rapidly in France, but the solutions available using timber as a material are still little known and underdeveloped. This is why part of the Carrefour International du Bois will be dedicated to semi-processed timber products used for structures, cladding, exterior and interior works and design.

Visitors – whether they are architects or other decision makers in the building trade, carpenters, joiners or other building professionals – will thus be able to find answers to questions such as: What timber structural solutions exist today? What products and innovations are there? What are the applications of timber products in exterior and interior cladding? Technical presentations will provide visitors with answers to these questions, and they will be able to see examples of the use of such products.
