LONDON, March 14, 2005 - Filming completed this week on former Hollyoaks star Andrew McNair's debut feature film, HALAL HARRY.
HALAL HARRY is a hilarious romantic comedy which tells the story of London barman, Harry (Andrew McNair) - who attempts conversion to Islam in order to win the heart of the girl he loves.
It features several well-known TV heart-throbs including Bruno Langley (Coronation Street) and Ryan Davenport (Family Affairs), as well as a host of established talent such as Nicola Duffett (Family Affairs, EastEnders), Kulvinder Ghir (Bend it Like Beckham, Goodness Gracious Me, Rita Sue and Bob Too), Gurdial Sira (Octopussy, Gandhi, My Beautiful Laundrette) and Barber Ali (Dirty Pretty Things, Asylum).
Halal Harry is a funny, thought provoking British comedy, about finding love in a fruit-salad world. It was shot in East London, January to March 2005.
