Sift facilitates Ark Group’s accessibility and usability conference workshop

Sift has been invited by Ark Group (http://www.ark-group.com), a leading business information provider, to facilitate the full-day workshop of its "Public sector online services: delivering and maintaining accessible and usable websites" conference in London on 21-23 November 2005.

Joe Leech, project consultant at Sift, will lead the workshop, which focuses on managing the issues and implementing good practice for website usability and accessibility.

Joe’s session will cover topics such as:

- establishing the ground rules for usability and accessibility online
- techniques to maintain and evaluate usability and accessibility
- user-centred design techniques to design and develop usability processes
- the importance of persona profiling in website design
- an open question and answer session to place the day’s learnings in context

Joe is an experienced consultant in the field of website design for accessibility and usability, working with clients such as Bristol City Council, the NHS, Scottish Executive, Northumberland County Council and City of York Council. He is a member of the British Computer Society’s Human Computer Interaction group and holds an MSc degree in Human Communication and Computing.

Commenting on the event, Joe says:
