Flaming Nora’s freshly grilled food - opens in Wood Green

31 October 2005- Flaming Nora, the innovative urban take out has now opened a second quick service restaurant.

Following the successful launch of the Islington branch in November 2004, Flaming Nora Wood Green opened its doors on 16th September, with the new restaurant taking on a different style format with a capacity for over 50 covers and a new opened shop front right onto the street. Situated on Wood Green’s High Street, minutes from Wood Green Tube Flaming Nora serves a delicious range of freshly made dishes cooked to order on one of three char grills – for meat, fish and vegetarian orders.

Flaming Nora has been designed with the British public’s busy lifestyles in mind, including the desire to know and see exactly what they’re eating. Since its conception in 2004, feedback from customers has been used to develop Flaming Nora’s style and offering to make her accessible to the mass market. Customers can eat top quality burgers and kebabs cooked fresh straight from the grill for about £6. Flaming Nora offers a whole new slant on grilled food, serving top quality, healthy nosh in a, modern funky environment. Each dish can be tailor made to suit individual tastes, with a choice of breads, sauces, side dishes, and carb free options and there is a range of kiddies portions available too. Wood Green also sees the launch of Nora’s diary offering information about local entertainment and events.

Managing Director, David Bloom explains: "Since Flaming Nora opened in November 2004 we have been listening to our customers needs. Our Wood Green store is a restaurant based format so they can make it more of a destination place to eat and have fun rather than just a take away to pick something up on their way to or from somewhere else. Flaming Nora focuses on using quality ingredients; beef burgers are hand-made from 100% Aberdeen Angus beef. The Steak Sandwich and Salmon Shish provide an unusual alternative. Vegetarian options include Haloumi and Vegetable Shish and a Caerphilly & Leek burger. Flaming Nora’s shish kebabs are marinated with secret ingredients for 24 hours, and combined with a range of sauces to give their delicious flavour.
