HillbilliesVille Live Global Traditional Country Music Awards Categories Announced

Today in Tennessee Global Village Entertainment announced The HillbilliesVille Live Country Music Awards Categories. These Awards are specifically for Traditional Country Music and bring the worlds of tradition and cutting edge technology together in a Global First

This announcement comes on the heals of the CMA AWARDS that created an uproar with traditional country music fans and artists for not having any relationship with country music.

GVE Executive Chairman Kevin Kiepe said "There are 8 AWARD Categories and 7 of these are for LIVE Performance, not recorded product, the fans from all over the world be making the decisions for the for the first time in history"

HillbilliesVille is establishing itself as the one place to go for LIVE Traditional Country Music and the Awards are just another example of our commitment to the fans, the artists and the music"

" We are 100% for the fans of Traditional Country Music." he went on to say that "there is a lot of exciting details to be announced before the end of the month and voting details for the awards will be one of these announcements"

HillbilliesVille Live Traditional Country Music Awards Categories are;

Male Artist Live Vocal Performance of the Year
• Limited to one nomination per Artist
• The Artist will perform 3 songs in each voting round
• The songs performed must never have been released to radio
• Finalists can repeat songs performed in previous voting rounds
• The First round and second round of voting will be restricted to two acoustic instrument played by the artists or a backing musician
• All Artists will have the option of bringing up to a 5 piece backing band for the final performance
• Artist can nominate themselves for the awards and the awards are open to all Professional members of HillbilliesVille
• There is no entry fee to nominate in the awards

Female Artist Live Vocal Performance of the Year
• Limited to one nomination per Artist
• The Artist will perform 3 songs in each voting round
• The songs performed must never have been released to radio
• Finalists can repeat songs performed in previous voting rounds
• The First round and second round of voting will be restricted to two acoustic instrument played by the artists or a backing musician
• All Artists will have the option of bringing up to a 5 piece backing band for the final performance

Duo Live Vocal Performance of the Year
• Limit to one nomination per Artist
• The Duo will perform 3 songs in each voting round
• The songs performed must never have been released to radio

• The First round and second round of voting will be restricted to two acoustic instruments played by the Duo or a backing musician
• All Artists will have the option of bringing up to a 5 piece backing band for the final performance
• Duos can nominate themselves for the awards and the awards are open to all Professional members of HillbilliesVille
• There is no entry fee to nominate in the awards


Group Live Vocal Performance of the Year

• Limited to one nomination per Group
• The Group will perform 3 songs in each voting round
• The songs performed must never have been released to radio
• Finalists can repeat songs performed in previous voting rounds
• The First round and second round of voting will be restricted to two acoustic instrument played by the Group or a backing musician
• All Groups will have the option of bringing up to a 5 piece backing band for the final performance

Vocal Collaboration Live Performance of the Year

• Limited to one nomination per Artist
• Nominees will perform 3 songs in each voting round
• The songs performed must never have been released to radio
• Finalists can repeat songs performed in previous voting rounds
• The First round and second round of voting will be restricted to two acoustic instrument played by the Group or a backing musician
• All Groups will have the option of bringing up to a 5 piece backing band for the final performance
• Groups can nominate themselves for the awards and the awards are open to all Professional members of HillbilliesVille

Heritage Award LIVE Vocal Performance of the Year
• Covering a song recorded prior to December 31, 1969
• Open to Male and Female Artists
• Limited to one nomination per Artist
• The Artist will perform 1 song
• The First round and second round of voting will be restricted to two acoustic instrument played by the artists or a backing musician
• All Artists will have the option of bringing up to a 5 piece backing band for the final performance
• Artist can nominate themselves for the awards and the awards are open to all Professional members of HillbilliesVille
• There is no entry fee to nominate in the awards


Instrumental Live Performance of the Year

• Open to Male and Female Musicians
• Limited to one nomination per Musician
• The Musicians will perform 1 song
• Musicians can nominate themselves for the awards and the awards are open to all Professional members of HillbilliesVille
• There is no entry fee to nominate in the awards

Songwriter of the year

• Nominee must be the songwriter (s)
• Limited to one song per nominee that has never been released to radio
• The Nominee can select any Professional artists member(s) of HillbilliesVille to perform the song live
• Performance in the first round and second round of voting will be restricted to two acoustic instrument played by the artists or a backing musician
• All Artists will have the option of bringing up to a 5 piece backing band for the finals performance
• Artist can nominate themselves for the awards and the awards are open to all Professional members of HillbilliesVille
• There is no entry fee to nominate in the awards

Album of the Year
• Open to Male and Female Artists, Groups and Duos, Collaborations and Musicians
• Limited to one nomination per Artist
• Album must have been released to radio between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011

Defining the music
HillbilliesVille defines the music that it produces, promotes and distributes as Traditional Country Music, being defined by vocal styling, musical tracks, subject matter & instrumentation. Music that is easily identifiable as having its roots deeply planted in traditional ground, clearly and unquestionably Country.

Venue and Voting details
Details of the venue and voting structure will be announced prior to the end of November, however all voting will be by HillbilliesVille member/fans and all voting will be structured to retain integrity. All members regardless of level will have 1 vote for each round of each awards category.
