Jack in the Box Toys Opens: Just in Time for Holiday Shopping!!

Remember hours spent in the local toy shop as a child? Where is that shop now? East Kilbride! Joss and Eric Greene are set to open Jack in the Box, a ‘real’ toy shop, on Thursday, November 17th, 2005 in the Plaza Shopping Centre of East Kilbride. The shop is opposite Marks and Spencer’s.

Joss and Eric Greene have over 35 years in the toy trade, which doesn’t include their time playing with toys. They recognise that few real toy shops exist on high street locations nowadays. The Scottish climate being what it is, the Scottish public like shopping malls. The Greene’s would like to think that Jack in the Box’s individual style will stand out amongst the usual big names to become a destination shop for young and old. Jack in the Box will be a family run toy shop with friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Jack in the Box will stock old favourites as well as all the characters that children love. From board games to the younger favourites such as Thomas the Tank Engine, Power Rangers, Polly Pockets and Bratz. Not to mention so much more in the traditional vein.

Jack in the Box Directors Joss and Eric Greene:
"We would like to think that parents can bring their children into the shop and simply let them go! There will be play tables and toys on ‘show’ to play with. With no hard sell, and a fantastic range of pocket money toys, you won’t have to spend a lot of money to keep the children happy--but it would be nice!"

Jack in the Box opens Thursday, 17 November 2005 and will be open 7 days a week from 9:30 AM until 6:00 PM.
