Revinetix Backup Appliances to Support Incremental Storage Expansion, Enabling Small and Medium Busi

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - November 17, 2005 - Revinetix, a pioneer in Disk2Disk2Disk™ backup solutions, today announced that it will soon support incremental storage expansion on its disk-based backup and recovery appliances. This new product enhancement, dubbed "aggregation", will enable small and medium businesses (SMBs) to daisy-chain multiple Revinetix disaster recovery devices together and utilize all of the aggregated disk
capacity, while managing these units as a single, logical appliance.

"For the SMB space, Revinetix' new capacity aggregation translates into a smart and affordable upgrade path to leverage historical IT investment and meet the evolving needs of businesses," said Revinetix VP of Sales,
Brian Clark. "A customer may initially buy a Sentio 1000 system with 500GB of raw capacity, and then one year later add a Sentio 2000 with 1.5TB of capacity. By aggregating capacity, the IT administrator can then have a
total storage capacity of 2TB and yet manage these two appliances from a single console as a single logical backup appliance."

"Scalable storage aggregation enables potentially unlimited storage expansion with no greater management requirements," Clark said. "Should our customers need more capacity, they can easily add additional appliances, providing them only the amount of expansion that is required and yet with no additional overhead."

To utilize the aggregation functionality, Revinetix backup devices are daisy-chained together over a direct Gigabit Ethernet network connection using one of the two Gigabit Ethernet ports integrated into each Revinetix
appliance. Software support for aggregation will be included at no additional charge with all Sentio and Volo backup appliances as part of Revinetix' RevOS operating system v2.0 upgrade, which is expected for release during first quarter 2006.

As previously announced, Revinetix also intends to roll out a number of other value-added software upgrades for its backup appliances in the next 90 days, including the following:

- Network Attached Storage (NAS) - IT administrators will be able to partition drive space on Volo and Sentio devices, making RAID-protected file sharing available to Windows and Linux clients. Integrated NAS support
will enable SMBs to quickly and easily add file storage capacity to their technology infrastructure, while maximizing use of available disk storage. Data within the NAS partition can be backed up and off-sited for a true disaster recovery solution, giving users the ability to centralize their storage needs.

- Content Addressable Storage (CAS) - CAS will help to eliminate data redundancies, reduce disk-storage requirements and ease compliance with HIPPA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other regulations data. Revinetix appliances
will be able to find and classify fixed, unchanged digital content across the enterprise, so that such data will only need to be stored once, even if referenced from multiple files or users on the network. This translates into more effective use of disk space, shorter backup windows, faster replication to other devices, and efficient disaster recovery.

- MS Exchange Agent - Brick-level back-up and recovery functionality to easily back-up and restore MS Exchange Server data by mailbox. It will enable users to view, select and restore individual emails and/or mailboxes
from Exchange servers based on search criteria to effectively address government email retention guidelines.

Current Revinetix backup appliance models offer 500GB to 5TB of raw (uncompressed) disk drive capacity and are available in a desktop format (Volo) or 1U, 2U, 3U or 4U rack-mount chassis (Sentio). All Revinetix backup and recovery appliances come pre-loaded with all software required to backup an entire network. Typical standard features include high speed Intel Xeon processors, Gigabit and Fast Ethernet controllers, dual load-sharing redundant power supplies, hardware RAID, and hot-swappable serial ATA drives -- features designed to support unlimited off-site storage and greater reliability and speed compared to traditional tape backup systems.
