FERRARI of France has launched the Stamoid® Marine Fabrics range of composite textiles for use on board yachts. These composite textiles can be used for biminis, tops, curtains, covers and protective screens. They are treated specifically so as to combine a range of attractive features – durability, high UV resistance, flexibility, waterproofness, easy maintenance, mould resistance, dimensional stability and small bulk.

The range includes the Stamoid® Top and Stamoid®Tweed textiles, which are easy to handle, thanks to their flexibility. Simple maintenance ensures an exceptionally long life. They can withstand extreme temperatures and remain stable, even when exposed to the weather. Stamoid®Top is available in fourteen colours and Stamoid®Tweed, printed with textured patterns, in four colours. The Stamoid®Open is extremely strong and ideal for permanent tops and curtains for large boats or high-speed craft. It is available in three colours.

FERRARI has also developed protective screen fabrics that let in light: Soltis®86 and Batyline®Iso 62. They can be used as cockpit covers, awnings, sun screens or visual protection, windbreaks, rail awnings, windscreen covers and trampolines. These textiles provide optimum transparency while ensuring privacy. They combine sun protection and lighting, diffusing more light and providing better visibility from inside to outside, with the emphasis on comfort indoors. Soltis®86 is available in five colours, and has the guarantee of Précontraint Ferrari® – a patented technology that achieves unequalled dimensional stability.

The Stamoid® Marine Fabrics range, which comes with a five-year guarantee, has Öko-Tex certification. The textiles can be recycled using the Texyloop™ process.
