JDavis Architects Announces Newly Licensed Architect

Jeff Davis, president of JDavis Architects, PLLC (www.jdavisarchitects.com), a full-service architecture, landscape architecture and interior design firm, has announced that Joleen Lockhart, AIA, an architect in the Raleigh office, has passed the Architectural Registration Examination (ARE). The examination, prepared by the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB), formally licenses North Carolina architects. Each candidate for licensure must obtain a passing score in all nine divisions of the ARE, which include: pre-design, site planning, building planning, building technology, general structures, lateral forces, mechanical and electrical, materials and methods (building design) and construction documents.

Lockhart, who oversees four commercial projects totaling $15 million, has more than 10 years of industry experience. She earned a bachelor’s degree of environmental design in architecture and a master’s degree of architecture from North Carolina State University. A native of Golden, CO., she resides in Durham, N.C.
