Dubai , November 30, 2005 – Juma Al Majid Est. the sole distributor of Hyundai vehicles in all UAE has recently launched the new Hyundai AZERA four-door sedan for distribution within the UAE. A major introduction in a class in which Hyundai has seen steady global market share gain. Combining high quality construction and engineering with European style and meaningful technology, including Electronic Stability Program (ESP) the all-new AZERA is aimed at raising Hyundai to the ranks of first choice autos in the mature executive car segment.

Designed to compete directly against established European competitors in the E-segments, the AZERA offers refinement, high build quality and distinctive European design. Bearing a family resemblance to the 2005 Sonata, the AZERA also benefits from the increased level of sophistication which this car brought to the overall Hyundai product line-up. In terms of exterior styling the company has focused on achieving a harmonic, elegant yet expressively classic ambience.

"The new Azera is designed to offer customers more room and comfort. It provides the driver with higher performance, better handling, a smoother ride," commented Mr. Isam Abu Nabah, General Manager of Juma Al Majid Est.. "The new Azera is a ‘next-generation’ Hyundai which builds on the enormous progress we have made with the Sonata. The new AZERA is a high-quality rival to quite able to surpass or at least match the best E-Segment products from famous brands."

Performance is guaranteed by the new 3.3 litre all-aluminium DOHC V6 offering 171.4kW at 6,000rpm with 31kg.m torque at 3,500rpm. AZERA car is equipped with the smooth and sophisticated Hyundai 5-speed electronically control automatic gearbox, with H-matic offering clutchless gear-shifting.

In terms of road holding, stability and handling precision, the new AZERA has been the focus of intensive development input. Double wishbone front suspension and redesigned in-wheel type multi-link rear have been adopted with ESP as standard on all models. The result is a car which can compete at the highest levels in terms of on-road precision, safety and comfort.

In creating the interior style and design the emphasis has been on providing a modern, distinctive, pleasing and relaxing solidity. Graceful dashboard lines and a clear and sporting design for the instrument panel are aimed at immediate driver appeal with intuitive "feelgood" ambience. The extra space generated by the longer wheel base has been well used to give a more spacious feeling, but one that retains a strong element of connection and sporting appeal. Supportive seats, well planned ergonomics, easy access and high quality trim materials all play a vital role in approaching the target market.

Hyundai is always at the forefront in terms of both active and passive safety features and the sensor controlled full catalogue of benefits is further optimised by the addition of active headrests and front and rear side and curtain airbags.

From the outside, LED safety rear lights highlight the purposeful rear treatment while Xenon headlights are an option. The new AZERA is 4,895mm long, 1,850mm wide and 1,490mm high. This has allowed an increase of the wheelbase to be 2,780mm which translates directly into more interior space and more leg room to be 2,080mm (1,110mm front and 970mm in the rear), providing maximum directional stability and extra handling precision.

The net result is a car which is purposeful and confident. One which matches the stylish exterior with a supremely comfortable interior. It also introduces a new directness in the handling, plus the solid reassuring feel of progressive engineering coupled with exceptional build quality.

Finally, Hyundai is proud to present the AZERA luxury sedan as the official car of 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
