WACS Sets Guinness World Record For the Most Chefs Gathered In One Place

World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) is pleased to announce today it set a new Guinness World Record for the Most Chefs Gathered In One Place.

2111 chefs gathered at Gapchen Waterfront Park and were officially counted and verified by Guinness World Records. The First Lady of Korea, as well as the Mayor of the Daejeon Metropolitan City also attended the event.

"We are thrilled to set a new Guinness World Record," stated WACS President Gissur Gudmundsson. "Our World Congress gives our member chefs an opportunity to come together to train, network, and compete. Now we have made history in the process."

The WACS Congress is a biennial event and hallmark tradition of WACS. Congresses have been held in over 20 cities across the world throughout its 82-year history.
