PTS, recognised as one of Sage’s top global development partners, beat off strong international competition to win the contract to upgrade Grant Thornton’s internal procurement processes, ensuring world-class internal controls.
PTS director Mike Steele says the company will implement its revolutionary browser-based purchasing system PW-Web across the 45 Grant Thornton LLP offices in Canada—the same system used by some FTSE-100 companies listed on the London Stock Exchange.
"Grant Thornton partners will now be able to approve requisitions from any portable internet device such as a Smartphones or iPad, giving them much greater flexibility in their daily work lives," explains Steele.
PW-Web promotes best practices within companies. Configurable workflows and faster processing of requisitions deliver greater efficiencies, while the system also checks budgets and routes the approvals accordingly based on funds availability.

Jim Bromilow, Senior Manager of Management Information Systems (MIS) at Grant Thornton says PTS was awarded the contract because the company offered an innovative cloud-based solution and tight integration with the firm’s existing Sage ERP Accpac system.
