FUNERAL DIRECTOR OPEN TO QUESTIONS

Published: Mon May 21 2012

A funeral director from a Perth funeral home is inviting residents to ask questions about funerals and planning for the future.

Funeral director Terry Hood and colleagues from The Co-operative Funeralcare in York Place, Perth, will dispel myths about funerals or cremations and assist people who want to plan their funerals.

Between 10am and 5.30pm will be holding a Funeral Information Day at the Ex-Servicemen’s Club on Milne Street on May 25th when residents are welcome to ask any questions they may have.

Terry said: "People are very welcome to come down and ask any questions they might have about funerals and planning for the future. Planning your funeral means you can add personal touches such as requesting specific flowers, music or even ‘no black’ to be worn.
"This can be a difficult subject to think about but planning now can help your family avoid worry and uncertainty in the future."

On the same day The Co-operative Funeralcare staff from the Perth funeral home will attend a re-dedication ceremony for a plaque honouring Perth Co-operative Society employees who sacrificed their lives in the World Wars. The funeral home has arranged for the memorial to be installed on the North Inch, Perth.
