Better Bathrooms Nominated Twice at Wigan Business Awards

Better Bathrooms have been short listed in two categories at the 2012 Wigan Business Awards, in both the Business of the Year and the Independent Retailer of the Year categories, which is yet more recognition of the retailers fantastic successes throughout this year.

The awards, which were created to celebrate regional business excellence, are hosted by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by NatWest. The ceremony will take place during a black tie gala dinner at the DW stadium on Friday 16th November.

The Business of the Year category is described as, "The premier award in Wigan borough’s business year". The entrants must have a turnover of at least £1million a year and must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of excellence and achievement. With Better Bathrooms' successful track record in it's 11 years of trading, it's easy to see why the retailer is receiving such great acknowledgements throughout this year.

Emma Antrobus, Wigan Policy Manager at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, said, "This years group of finalists highlight just how successful businesses in the Wigan Borough have been, and it’s great to see."

The Independent Retailer of the Year category, which is sponsored by Wigan and Leigh College, is a more specialised division, in which entrants must demonstrate that they offer exemplary service, a commitment to their local area and a little ‘X’ factor, whilst also focusing on staff development as a core part of the company ethos. With career development and promotion from within key elements within Better Bathrooms' growth strategy, the retailer takes such great pride in being a North-West success story, staffed by a dynamic local team.

With Better Bathrooms Founder and MD, Colin Stevens, a born and bread Wigan lad, it's fantastic to see a local entrepreneur achieving such great achievements in their local area, whilst successfully branching out throughout the UK.
