Leading securities attorney Laura Anthony to provide overview of JOBS Act opportunities
[ClickPress, Wed Oct 24 2012] ClearTrust, LLC, an independent, full-service stock transfer agent serving listed, small cap, and private equity issuers has announced that attorney Laura Anthony, founding partner of Legal & Compliance, LLC, will speak on the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act at its November 9 SEC Hot Topic Breakfast. ClearTrust has expanded the SEC Hot Topic Breakfast to equip smaller public companies with a working knowledge of the Dodd-Frank Act and the JOBS Act. This new legislation is the most significant securities regulation reform in the past four years.
“I’ve been writing about the impact that the Dodd-Frank Act and JOBS Act will have on smaller issuers, so I’m delighted that ClearTrust Transfer has invited us to participate in their conference,” Ms. Anthony said. “We intend to provide OTC issuers with an understanding of what this new legislation will mean to them and their companies.”
Ms. Anthony is a recognized expert in this area. The JOBS Act will significantly impact smaller businesses as it seeks to support our general economy, including helping them raise funds in the public capital markets by easing various securities regulations. Ms. Anthony will provide an overview on the new legislation that will directly impact attendees.
The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at The Ritz-Carlton, 1 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Sponsors include OTC Markets Group Inc (OTCQX: OTCM) and lead sponsor Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. CPAs.
