Bathroom High Flier graces Fast Track 100 League Table

Following on from a multitude of award wins over the past few months, local retailer Better Bathrooms have debuted in at number 33 on The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100.

Ranking Britain’s privately-owned companies with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years, Better Bathrooms boasted a 92.46% increase in financial growth, taking them to the 33rd position on the hugely prestigious list.
With recorded sales of £3.2 million in 2008/09, Wigan born Founder and Managing Director Colin Stevens has continued to drive forward the retail business over the following three years to reach sales of £22.5 million in 2011/12. Investing profits back into the company enabled Better Bathrooms to increase their store reach, opening a new premises in central Manchester whilst trebling the size of the Warrington showroom to over 15,000 sq ft; not to mention a wealth of major innovations via their online store www.betterbathrooms.com.

This continued growth has seen staff numbers rise from 15 in 2008/09 to 77 in 2011/12. Priding themselves on seeking a talented workforce from the local area, Better Bathrooms invest heavily in staff training and development, helping mould the leaders of the future.

Now crowned the UK’s largest independent retailer of bathrooms and tiles, it’s simple to see why Better Bathrooms earned a well deserved spot on The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100.

With their roots firmly planted in the North West, Better Bathrooms is one of ten hugely successful companies head quartered in the region to earn a place on the league table, displaying the areas thriving financial state during such a tough economic climate.

Despite the positive feelings and boost provided by the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London, the UK’s recovery has been slow and uneven this year. With the last 12 months proving Better Bathrooms’ most successful to date, with increased growth and staff numbers reaching an all time high, with a 162 strong team, the multi-channel bathrooms and tiles retailer is already eyeing up the 2013 list.

Surrounded by a wealth of the UK’s most well known brands The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 2012 list boasts household names including the likes of Jamie’s Italian, Hunter Boot, Go Outdoors and Brew Dog, to name just a few.

For their success in making the list, Better Bathrooms are now invited to the distinguished invitation-only dinner held at Sir Richard Branson’s home.
