The Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship Competition launched today, open for entries until Earth Day on April 22. Three winners of the competition, one each from primary, middle, and high school, will receive a scholarship to the renowned Green School in Bali, Indonesia, an international school whose mission is to inspire students to be creative, innovative green leaders.
Green School Chairman Roger Hamilton said, "In our search for the Greenest Student on Earth, we are looking for exceptional young people who are working on environmental projects in their local communities. At Green School, these students will have the rare opportunity to accelerate their education, with school programs in green studies and entrepreneurship, in a school recognized for being the greenest on Earth.  The valuable skills they will gain will support them in bringing positive change to their home communities."
To enter the Greenest Student on Earth Scholarship Competition, students must go to the Green School website at and submit a 2 to 3 minute video that answers the question, "Why are you the Greenest Student on Earth?" The video should highlight the students’ environmental achievements, aspirations, and how they would benefit from a year at Green School Bali. Parental permission is required and parents are welcome to help. The competition will close for entries on Earth Day, April 22, 2013, and the winners will be announced on June 5, World Environment Day.
