Advanced Topics in Supply Chain Sustainability are of Interest to University Students

Robert Kuhn, President of New York-based sustainability consulting firm Kuhn Associates Sustainability Advisors, LLC, spoke to a group of undergraduate and graduate students and met with faculty and administrators of the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise. It was Kuhn’s second visit to the school. Kuhn answered questions from and offered ideas to students in the Masters in Supply Chain Management program, all of whom showed a profound interest in incorporating sustainability into their careers. Mr. Kuhn made a more formal presentation to a class of undergraduates pursuing Business Administration degrees, telling them that sustainability was the way business would be run in years to come and presented a superb career opportunity for each and every one of them.

In commenting on his visit, Kuhn said, "It’s always a pleasure to visit Ross and observe the intellect, passion and focus of the students and faculty. Clearly, Ross and the Erb Institute understand the significant role that sustainability plays in today’s business and how sustainability will be an essential attribute of successful businesses going forward."

Owen Wu, Assistant Professor of Technology and Operations at Ross, who sponsored Kuhn’s visit, said "Robert's lecture greatly enriched Ross School of Business students' understanding of the essential elements of sustainable businesses. Robert has imparted his passion for sustainability to the students and prepared them for future work in sustainability. Robert also probed into advanced topics in supply chain sustainability, which aroused great interest from both students and faculty at Ross School and Erb Institute."
