Heartburn and constipation were also reported as very common problems among the United Arab Emirates population during 2013, a situation which is due mainly to the high fat content of the average diet in the United Arab Emirates as well as dehydration and a general lack of physical activity.

GlaxoSmithKline Plc led digestive remedies in 2013 with a 19% value share.
