This expected growth is a better performance than the decline at a CAGR of 1% recorded over the review period. While intensified price-based competition took place during the review period, the forecast period is expected to see moderate unit price increases. The discounting that occurred towards the end of the review period is not sustainable for air carriers that were already suffering from low profitability.
