Internet retailing, on the other hand, experienced very positive growth rates due to the improved penetration of the internet in the country and improvements in online paying methods.

Middle East Teleshopping was the only significant player in the Iranian market in 2013. The company targeted many consumers with attractive Persian (Farsi) language dubbing on television stations and established an effective selling network, even in smaller cities. Its favourite teleshopping channels were Me-shop and AZ-shop, which can be found on the Hot Bird satellite.
