Italy is still evaluating the AgustaWestland AW149 medium-lift utility helicopter. The rotorcraft is being evaluated as a possible platform to perform troop transport and search and rescue. Meanwhile, Alenia Aermacchi selected the Williams International FJ44-4M turbofan to power the M-345 trainer in early October 2014.
