Xeljanz (tofacitinib, formerly known as tasocitinib) is an oral, small-molecule inhibitor of JAK3 developed by Pfizer. Xeljanz is a first-in-class drug that was approved for the treatment of RA in the US in 2012, and in Japan in 2013.
