Currently baby wipes are still grabbing all the attention and are possibly even cannibalising other wipes sales. However, there are several smaller wipes categories which are primed for more growth. Those include specialised cosmetic wipes, which also tend to be highly priced and more open to innovation.

Competitive Landscape

Agiva is the number one competitor in wipes; it accounted for 15% of value sales in 2014. The company is a local producer, active in various hygiene categories, but its greatest focus is on wipes. The company offers a value-for-money product in all categories, with prices kept at an affordable level to capture the majority of consumer segments. The Baby Crema line of baby wipes is one of the most widely available, regardless of distribution outlets. Axxon Bulgaria was second with 11% of sales in 2014, whilst Mega Disposables, Lavena and Procter & Gamble Bulgaria rounded out the top five with value shares of 10%, 10% and 7%, respectively. The results of the top five players were such that no changes in rank compared to 2013 happened.
