While Doublemint was typically considered one of the pioneers in introducing gum to the country, Cool Air was strongly supported by its "vapour release" advertising campaigns. While the company still ranked first in gum, its value share declined in 2014 due to tougher competition, especially from Lotte Vietnam Co Ltd and Perfetti Van Melle Vietnam Ltd.
