It is anticipated that cigars will register moderate total volume growth of 5% over the course of the forecast period to reach 29 million units in 2019, which is a better performance compared to the review period over which volume sales recorded a drop of 1%. The predicted improved economic situation resulting in stronger purchasing power for Czechs will support demand for cigars. Nevertheless, significant growth in consumption of cigars is not expected as the Czech market has its limits and there is a stronger consumer base for cigarettes.
