Such a category performance was driven by new product launches, specifically in other facial make-up and other lip products. However, the demand for these types of products is low, as more Slovenian women chose the natural look and did not use mascara, blush or lipstick.

Procter & Gamble in 2014 was forced out of its leading position in 2014 by Cosnova GmbH with its Essence and Catrice brands. Cosnova is rapidly developing its offer within the economy segment and is enjoying an increasing interest and recognition from younger females. In 2014, it reached 21% value share to become the leading player, gaining seven percentage points. Procter & Gamble, despite a marginal drop in share still represented 20% value share to rank second. Ranked third with 19% value share was L'Oréal Slovenija in 2014. Both Procter & Gamble and L'Oréal lost share to the dynamically growing Cosnova.
